VIAA Hires Two New Employees

(St. Louis, Mo., July 13, 2016) Valley Insurance Agency Alliance, a cohesive family of nearly 100 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Southern Illinois, recently hired Kevin Horth as Agency Development Specialist and Mathew Myers as Member Development Specialist.

In this position, Horth will be responsible for improving and growing the company’s Independent Strategic Member (ISM) alliance. He will specialize in enhancing the ongoing communication between VIAA and its members. Prior to joining VIAA, Horth served as both an insurance broker and producer at national insurance agencies. He holds both his Personal Lines Coverage Specialist (PLCS) and his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designations from The National Underwriter Company.

As a Member Development Specialist, Myers’ responsibilities include supporting independent strategic members in developing personal lines and small commercial business. Prior to joining VIAA, he worked at sister company POWERS Insurance and Benefits as a Commercial Account Specialist. Myers’ background includes extensive personal lines insurance work with claims and underwriting with a variety of insurance carriers.
