VIAA
Education and Training

Access Plus

Even without a direct appointment with a carrier, members can submit accounts through the VIAA Access Plus department and quote/bind policies with almost every carrier that partners with VIAA. This provides a member the ability to win accounts they may lose otherwise, but also provides an opportunity for a member to get direct appointments by demonstrating production. This is all done at a compensation split that is higher than the typical wholesale solution.

Sales Development

VIAA has two full-time employees designed to help agencies improve their sales and profitability. Examples of things they have repeatedly helped Members with include; 5 year performance projections based on your goals, Foundation training from Captive to IA, new hire training, on-site mentoring and consulting, etc. 

Digital Training

VIAA offers workshops and webinars on a monthly basis centered around technology and efficiency solutions available to help agencies improve their digital infrastructure and knowledge. Previous workshops include; Google My Business, Zapier, Vetting CRM sytems, Canva Designs, etc.

Book Management

Because all members share in the success or failure of our group collectively maximizing profit sharing, VIAA provides heavy assistance with proper book management practices and issuing policies that meet or exceed recommended coverage limits. VIAA has a staff person responsible for monitoring losses and risk analytics, identifying unhealthy trends, and coaching Members where necessary.

SIAA offers a step-by-step program designed to efficiently build a targeted commercial lines book of business. This course is designed to help agencies (or a producer) learn how to write commercial insurance. This is the perfect springboard to start rounding your agency book. SIAA offers 3-4 classes per year.

Premiere Families Program

SIAA offers a training and mentoring program that provides insight and tools to help member agencies become the trusted advisor to successful households. This course designed to help agencies learn how to properly cover personal lines in the mass affluent space. SIAA offers 3-4 classes per year.

Strategic Programs

Access SIAA insurance programs that are available exclusively to member agencies. This program platform offers easy access, a streamlined submission process and niche program opportunities that aren't available to most traditional agencies.

An exclusive, web-based resource for member agencies to access numerous excess and surplus lines and specialty markets, as well as Strategic Partner program business.

A member once needed my assistance with a producer that was not happy in her position. After performing an assessment test (Kolbe Test) it was discovered she was a better fit for a CSR position. Even though this was a pay-cut, the employee was very thankful and admitted she wasn't comfortable as a producer. That employee is still employed with the Agency Member today.

An example of how
I've helped a member:

A current member was having issues with growing new written premium. After reviewing prior production numbers and internal agency P&P's, I identified decreased production due to lack of quality incoming leads and lack of retention due to poor customer on-boarding.  A year long action plan was put into place to improve the number of quality lead sources and to help establish solid customer on-boarding strategies.  The agencies quote volume increased by 200 in less than one year, the agencies retention improved by a couple points, and new written premium increased by almost 30%.
