New Member: Pin Oak Insurance Group

Newly-formed Pin Oak Insurance Group has joined Valley Insurance Agency Alliance. Andrew Calloway opened the independent agency after several years as a captive agent at State Farm. The agency is based in Maryville, Illinois and is a full-service agency that focuses on personal insurance, commercial insurance and life insurance.

As reported in the Insurance Journal, Andrew has 15 years of experience in the financial industry as a corporate finance executive before jumping into the insurance industry space. Andy holds a risk management and insurance degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from Wash U. Joining Andy in the agency is producer Gracie Diaz. Gracie has two years of experience in the industry and focuses on personal lines insurance in the Latino Community.

Andy said he is excited to have more options as an independent agency and is eager to help provide more well-rounded solutions for the agency’s clients. Like many former captive agents, Andy chose to join an insurance network for access to markets, increased revenue, and help developing his agency. Pin Oak Insurance Group will have access to most of the top insurance companies in the country, and many of the strongest Regional insurance companies in Illinois.
