The Powers family, founders of VIAA (Valley Insurance Agency Alliance), sat together in 2006 to discuss what value they could bring to an independent insurance agency. They identified pain points they had experienced themselves and formed VIAA to help other small businesses overcome the same challenges. 

Like most networks, we started with the focus of providing access to markets and increasing revenue. At VIAA, that is just the beginning of what we have to offer.

When founded, VIAA had much to learn from its first Member, POWERS Insurance.  Today, the collective brain trust of 150+ agency owners help us continue to generate new and fresh ideas on how to protect and drive efficiency for independent agencies.  The benefits VIAA offers today are in response to the challenges and struggles its Members ask us to solve. 

Are you interested in technology to make you or your team more efficient and effective with managing time?  VIAA’s Development Team supports a robust stack of automated solutions to assist in operations, pipeline management, retention, and SEO.  Furthermore, they provide one-on-one coaching to help hire, train a new CSR, mentor a producer, digitize the lead to bind process, or deploy Zywave. 

Our how-to guidance, mentoring, and implementation assistance are available exclusively to and included as part of Membership.

Our family wants to grow, prosper, perpetuate, and contribute to the greater good (Go to Community Outreach page).  VIAA was formed in 2006 by the Powers Family at a time when big banks and brokerage firms were acquiring agencies and we were alarmed by the ever-increasing demands by the carriers for increased production.  VIAA has a simple mantra, to help its Members grow profitably.  If this goal is in sync with yours, lets prosper together.

While Pierce and Sue Powers are still very involved in the family, it is Henry who would be honored to understand your goals and needs in hopes that he and his sister Elizabeth can co-develop an engagement strategy that will help your business thrive – join our community, be independent but not alone.
