Dingman Insurance Celebrates 20 Years!

Dingman Insurance recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in business. The company is a member of Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), a cohesive family of nearly 100 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Southern Illinois.

Dingman Insurance is a full-service insurance agency that specializes in business, home, auto, farm, life and health insurance. The company, which is owned by husband and wife Lester and Vicky Dingman, is located at 138 S. Main St. in Liberal, Mo.

“We purchased the agency from a relative who was retiring in 1996,” said Vicky Dingman. “The company, which was actually founded in 1971, was strictly a property and casualty agency. We added life, health and auto insurance to better serve our customers.”

Founded in 2006, VIAA is located at 7745 Carondelet Ave. in Clayton, Mo. The alliance generates more than $125 million in written premium and is the regional founding member in Missouri and Southern Illinois for the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA), a $6 billion national insurance coalition. SIAA, which is the nation’s largest partnership of independent insurance agencies, consists of the highest caliber of firms that share a leveraged strength with their carrier partners and industry resources.
