How I help VIAA Members:
I help member agencies navigate the vast and complex world of commercial insurance. Specifically, I help define right fit clients, define and acquire right fit centers of influence, implement niche marketing strategies and use technology that simplifies and makes commercial insurance workflows more efficient, more profitable and leads to better client experiences. Whether, looking for your first niche or sharpening your tools to swim further upstream, I meet Members where they are.

Helping a Member land their LARGEST account.
(Member) a voicemail today asking for sample commercial quote proposals he could use. I shared with him how he could generate a quote proposal in Zywave to meet his need. I also shared with him another sample that I had on hand that may be useful to him. These should improve his Agency procedures.

I find insurance is the best field to combine law, genetics and economics degrees.
AJ Schrage joined the Valley Insurance family in September, 2020. He started his career in the insurance industry by serving as an inside producer, for over 8 years, at an agency that specialized in commercial insurance. AJ brings his experience to VIAA in the role of Commercial Lines Sales Coach. He provides a wealth of commercial lines revenue lift strategies to VIAA members as well as assists in implementing technology that can improve commercial lines sales and service. Prior to working in the insurance field, AJ practiced as a corporate attorney in the St. Louis area and worked in the Genetics research field at Washington University in St. Louis.
